Introduction
OKBQA is a community to advance technology for the development of open knowledge base (KB) and question answering (QA) systems. The series of OKBQA hackathons is organized to bring together its main contributors and potential new contributors to reach a breakthrough with the developed technology and to disseminate it to interested parties. It is our great pleasure that the OKBQA framework, a web-based modular framework to enable open collaboration for the development of QA systems, recently had its initial release. Based on this framework, OKBQA-4 will become an exciting event: participants will be experimenting with state-of-the-art modules, making improvement to the modules, designing and implementing new modules, and evaluating daily advancements based on benchmark data sets. A pre-hackathon tutorial is organized to help interested people to learn about the OKBQA framework and state-of-the-art modules that are included in the framework. So, it will be a good opportunity for those who are not familiar with OKBQA resources or QA technology but are interested in learning them and joining the community.
